The breathtaking 137-foot-long pedestrian bridge features structural-grade glass decking and an elegant “S” shape design that allows visitors to walk directly above Sylvan Creek’s gorge and gaze down 50 feet to the water below. The walkway ends just short of Minnehaha Falls, with a section that gives visitors the sensation of floating above the waterfall itself.


Amish Country

Middlefield, the fourth largest Amish community in the world, can be found just east of Punderson State Park. Middlefield is bustling with buggies and shops catering to the tourist. Quilts, woodworking, and blacksmithing shops are just a few places to visit, as well as restaurants serving Amish-style cuisine. The Middlefield Cheese House with tours, a museum, and gift shop are worth the trip! Across the street from the Cheese House is Settlers’ Farm, a small collection of shops offering fine and unique gifts.

Burton is Pancake City, USA. Each Sunday in March, thousands of people gather to enjoy pancake breakfasts with legendary Geauga County Maple Syrup. During the spring season, the log cabin located on the square demonstrates the process of making maple syrup to the public. Across the street from the log cabin is the historical Burton Century Village, offering tours of many buildings including an original schoolhouse and old-time general store.
